The 17D to 17H Torque Tool Adapter has been developed to deliver reliable, high-performance operation in demanding subsea environments. Integrated torque and turn-counting sensors enable closed-loop control, while connection to the supplied torque tool control manifold provides accurate feedback on torque response throughout the subsea operation.
The tool features an ISO 13628-8 Class 4 female bucket and an API 17H male interface with a 35 mm AF square drive. It delivers a maximum torque of 2,700 Nm (2,000 ft-lb) and is supplied with both 900 Nm and 2,700 Nm shear pins. For safe handling, storage and transportation offshore, the unit is delivered in a suitable transit case.
